Burnham Boilers: A Century of Heating

Burnham has been keeping homes warm for well over a hundred years. The company got its start in the early 1900’s and quickly became known for its heavy cast-iron boilers and furnaces. Built to last through tough winters, these systems earned a reputation for reliability, and it wasn’t long before the Burnham name became a familiar one in basements across the country.

As heating technology changed, Burnham adapted with it. They moved from coal to oil and gas, and later into high-efficiency boilers that met modern standards while keeping their reputation for solid craftsmanship. Many older Burnham units are still running and manufactured today, a testament to how durable and dependable they are. Now part of U.S. Boiler Company since 2010, Burnham remains a symbol of American-made heating equipment.

Below we have three distinct Burnham emblems that were distinct throughout the periods. (Fig. A) shows the earlier 1940’s style found on the boilers then. Throughout the 50’s the Jubilee (Fig. B) was what they considered its retro lineup. Up from the 60’s to 2010, Burnham used (Fig. C) as its logo.
